Bruce Sholk, Chairman of the Budget and Finance Committee of The Jewish Agency for Israel, has been a member of the Board of Governors since 2005. Prior to assuming his current position in July 2022, he served in numerous leadership positions for the organization.
Bruce has a long history of philanthropic efforts focused on Israel and its connection to the diaspora, as well as Jewish life on the college campus. Bruce served as the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of Hillel International. He is a member of the Board of Masa, and was a founding board member of Tamid, a campus-based organization that connects business-minded college students to Israel. He is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the Technion. He was previously Chair of the Board of THE ASSOCIATED: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore and was a long-time member of the Board of JFNA and UIA.
Bruce is the Managing Member and founder of Axcel Partners, a private equity investment partnership, with a focus on investment in Israeli technology companies. Bruce received a Master’s in Business Administration from Carnegie-Mellon University.
Bruce and his wife, Beth Kaplan, have two sons, Henry and Seth.
