Harvey is a partner in the Montreal firm of Shapiro and Wolfe Architects.

He is currently Vice President of the Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue, Vice President of the YM-YWHA Montreal Jewish Community Centers and a Board member of the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation. Prior to that, he was World Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Keren Hayesod and a former President of United Israel Appeal (UIA) Federations Canada. He also previously served as President of Federation CJA-Montreal, as Campaign Chairman, and as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Allied Jewish Community Services.

He has been a member of The Jewish Agency’s Board of Governors since 1994.

On June 2015 he was elected Honorary Member of the Board.
